Construction of Luna Vista at 950 W. El Camino Real began in July 2020.  Built on the former site of a Taco Bell restaurant, Luna Vista has been prioritized by the city of Mountain View to provide independent living for a mix of single and two-person households between 50-70 % of the area median income (AMI). The building will have 71 apartments of which 15 units are reserved for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities and individuals who live or work in Mountain View will have priority for the remaining units.

950 W. El Camino Real has great proximity to transit, including the VTA bus lines on El Camino Real and CalTrain. It is within walking distance of downtown and many amenities including the following:

  • A wide variety of restaurants, shops and workout facilities
  • Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts
  • Parks, athletic fields, community centers, the library, and the Eagle Park pool
  • Grocery stores and the Mountain View farmer’s market

This green and eco-friendly development features a roof deck with a view of the bay, shared balconies and lounges on each floor, a community room with a kitchen, laundry facilities, and elevator access. Every resident will also have bicycle parking in a secured room and a spacious locker for additional storage needs.

Staffing includes an on-site property manager and resident activities coordinator who plans resident social events, health and wellness programs and educational classes tailored to resident preferences.
