Hanaa’s story is one of resilience, determination, and the transformative power of education.  Born in Venezuela to Syrian immigrant parents, her early years were marked by adversity. She came into this world with an innate love for interior design, but cultural expectations and familial pressure threatened to derail her dreams.

The Opportunity Fund Scholarship gave her hope — financially and emotionally. The financial burdens that often restrict the pursuit of education were momentarily eased, allowing her to focus not just on her dreams but on creating a better life for her children.

After graduating from West Valley College with various degrees and certificates, she is an interior designer working for a construction company.
