Alta Housing was born from the tremendous need for affordable housing. That’s why our work includes housing advocacy. We’re here to help communities and policy makers see that affordable housing benefits us all. When cities and towns have housing that accommodates people at all income levels, they are ensuring that different generations, ethnicities, family types and economic status can live near each other. We believe a strong community is one in which all have a foundation for health, security, economic opportunity and building a future. 

We provide input to local leaders on the general housing and rental issues, and matters that impact housing resources such as land use, density, and cost. We speak for housing issues and opportunities with knowledge, expertise, and conviction on the national, state, and local levels to improve housing financing programs and services.
