Working with Sacred Heart Community Service

For more than a year, Alta Housing has partnered with Sacred Heart Community Service (SHCS) to advance anti-displacement and community development efforts in San Jose. This collaboration is supported by a grant from the City of San Jose.

Through this partnership, Alta is providing technical housing expertise to help SHCS strengthen its capacity to pursue property acquisition and rehabilitation as long-term tools for community stabilization. SHCS brings decades of experience in grassroots organizing—engaging residents, cultivating community leadership, and advocating alongside low-income families.

This effort reflects Alta Housing’s approach to impact: combining housing experience with a trusted community partner to protect affordability and strengthen long-term local leadership.
