Construction on Corso Apartments, Alta Housing’s newest community in downtown Mountain View, began in March 2026. Developed in partnership with Related California, the project is located on Parking Lot 12 and will bring 120 apartments for families earning between 30% and 60% of the Area Median Income.
The community will serve a range of households, including families, with 20 apartments reserved for Rapid Rehousing to support individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, an additional 35 Project-Based Section 8 Vouchers for families and individuals, and 15 apartments for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Corso is designed to contribute to the life of the surrounding neighborhood, with welcoming street-level homes, family-sized townhomes, shared outdoor gathering spaces, and amenities that support active transportation, including a mid-block pedestrian paseo connecting California and Mercy Streets.
The project is made possible through collaboration with a broad group of public and private partners, including the City of Mountain View, County of Santa Clara, Santa Clara County Housing Authority, Destination: Home Silicon Valley, Wells Fargo Bank, Freddie Mac, and a range of state and federal housing programs.
